Doing anything of value requires teamwork.
Northbridge is blessed to have a gifted and experienced Staff that are diverse in background, age, and ethnicity. We think that is outstanding because diversity reflects the reality of the Kingdom of God. We aspire to model unity from our diversity – older or younger, black or white, wealthy or not – all are made one in Christ and welcome at Northbridge.
Joe Warring, Senior Pastor
Pastor Joe has been our Senior Pastor since October 2015. His background includes 15 years of executive management experience in the marketplace (from local start-ups to Fortune 100), as well as 18 years in senior leadership positions in local, national, and international Christian ministry work (including pastoring, church planting, international missions, and national men’s ministry). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, and a Master’s degree in Practical Theology.
Joe is a passionate preacher and expositor of the Bible and its contextual history, which helps make the Bible come alive and be applicable for today. His unique breadth of leadership experience in business and ministry, and his love for the people in our church is helping Northbridge move into a renewed and exciting era of growth and impact in the West Ashley and greater Charleston region.
Joe and his wonderful wife Kelly were married in 1989, and are more in love today than ever. They have four adult children, are almost empty nesters, and entered the joy of being grandparents in 2015. Pastor Joe enjoys boating, fishing, golf, reading, playing/singing good music, and catching an awesome sunrise or sunset.
Patrick Luke, Associate Pastor
Born in Arthington, Liberia (West Africa), Pastor Patrick Luke, Sr., has been the Associate Pastor of Northbridge since March of 2007. Prior to that, Patrick served as the first Senior Pastor at Bethany Baptist Church, and the founding pastor of Faith Christian Assembly, both in Charleston. Patrick’s pastoral heart, humble demeanor, and passion for evangelism all make him a key leadership partner with Pastor Joe as Northbridge continues to renew and grow.
Patrick graduated from the Morris College School of Religion Ministerial Certificate program. He earned a BSc in Civil Engineering degree from the University of Dayton, and a BSc in General Sciences degree from Wilberforce University. He has been married to his beautiful wife, Angelia, since 1982, and they have two children and two grandchildren.
Serving as Outreach and Administration pastor, he has helped organize and administrate the Acts 1:8 mission focus of Northbridge: taking the Gospel to our homes, churches, communities, nation, and world. His passion is outreach and evangelism, and his dream is to one day travel to the city of his birth to share in the towns near his family homestead the love of Christ.
John redding, youth pastor
John Redding joined the Northbridge staff in March 2019 to lead and grow our critically important Student Ministry. John comes to Northbridge from Union, SC, where he served in a large church’s Youth and Young Adult ministries in key servant leadership roles. He has earned his BA Degree in Christian Studies from North Greenville University, and is currently pursuing his MA degree in Christian Ministry from Liberty University.
John has a passion to reach students with the life-changing message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to grow our Student Ministry program that is focused on discipleship (and not just entertainment). He is soon to be married to his love, Maggie All, here in Charleston.
CECE MONROE, Children's ministry director
In July 2016, we welcomed our new Director of Children’s Ministry, Mrs. Cecilia ("CeCe") Monroe. As a long-term member of the church and committed part of our Children’s Ministry leadership team for much of that time, CeCe leads our critically important Children’s Ministry efforts with excellence!
CeCe has an advanced degree in Education, and direct experience as an Elementary school teacher in South Carolina. Her education, training, and experience combined with her infectiously positive and smiling personality make CeCe a favorite with our kids and their parents. Her passion for the future of the children of Northbridge is authentic, and our Children's Ministry is thriving.
CeCe is married to her husband of 12 years, Torrey, and they have three beautiful children.
PETE SONS, WORSHIP LEADER
Pete Sons leads our Worship Sunday mornings and for our monthly Selah Nights at Northbridge. A gifted singer, songwriter, and musician, he has been involved in Worship ministry since he was a teenager in his father’s church in Bath, SC (near Augusta, GA). Pete’s worship leading experience and talent gives him the ability to traverse a wide swing in worship styles - from passionately singing classic hymns, to the latest in modern worship songs.
A graduate of Charleston Southern University with a Bachelors degree in Christian Ministry, he is currently enrolled in The Citadel’s Graduate School pursuing an MBA. Pete’s full time job is with Chick-Fil-A, where he currently serves as a Director in both the Summerville and Goose Creek locations. He and his awesome wife Maddy are busy raising their two sweet girls, with another on the way!
The role of Deacon is drawn from the servant leadership model of the early church as described in the New Testament. In fact, the word deacon simply means “servant” in the original Greek language of the New Testament. The men in this qualified and elected position have exhibited a combination of a mature faith walk, commitment to serving others in the church, and play a key role as an extension of the Pastoral ministry.
